The resort also lists directions and airport information on its contact page. The Loop alternates between Black and Red routings by day, so confirm which one is playing when you book.

Dress code

Golf slacks, skirts, dresses, capris and golf shorts (no shorter than mid-thigh) with collared or sleeved shirts are accepted. Denim, sweatpants, gym or tennis shorts, cargo shorts and athletic wear are not. The clubhouse and dining areas are casual.

A valid driver's license is required to rent and operate a cart, and guests are responsible for damage to a cart while it is in their possession.

Practice facilities

The Hilltop is a putting course of 18 holes on nearly two acres, and the Bootlegger is a 10-hole par-3 pitch-and-putt course of about 1,100 yards. A 19th "bye hole" at the Forest Dunes course settles all-square matches.

Rentals & pro shop

Each player must bring their own set of clubs. Guests who want to avoid traveling with clubs can use the club-shipping service the resort links to (Ship Sticks).

Food & drink

The clubhouse has a dining room with views of the course, Keeper's Pub (Irish-style pub serving lunch and dinner), a covered Bootlegger Bar overlooking the bye hole and the first tee of the Bootlegger course (pizza, burgers and beer), an outdoor pavilion and fire pit patio, a pizzeria with on-property delivery, and the reservation-only Chef's Table. Posted hours run breakfast 6:30 to 10:30 am, lunch 10:30 am to 4:30 pm and dinner 4:30 to 9 pm, later Thursday to Saturday.

Pace of play

Rounds should take no more than 4 hours 30 minutes for 18 holes. Groups out of position are cautioned up to two times; after a third violation the group must move to a spot chosen by the player assistant or may be removed from play. On the Black routing, front-nine flags are white and back-nine flags are red; if you are unsure which green to play to, keep left.

Policies

Tee times are booked with a credit card that is not charged up front. Cancel at least seven days ahead to avoid a penalty; no-shows are charged for all booked rounds and short-shows for rounds not played. Rain is not grounds for cancellation unless the course officially closes, and a round cut short by weather may earn a rain check based on holes completed (no cash refund). Outside alcohol is not allowed on the courses, clubhouse or patio, and smoking and vaping are prohibited in all buildings. Lodging deposits are fully refundable up to 60 days before arrival. The courses are open to the public; resort lodging is optional.
