The Lake is one of three par 36 nines in the 27-hole championship layout at Neshanic Valley Golf Course in Neshanic Station, designed by Hurdzan/Fry Golf Course Design and opened in 2004. Fairways, tees and greens are creeping bentgrass, with large bunkers guarding the greens and fescue along the fairways. Any two of the three nines (Meadow, Lake, Ridge) combine into an 18-hole round. The course is open to the public and is run by the Somerset County Park Commission.

Know before you go

- Dress code applies: collared shirt, no denim, soft spikes only.
- Warm up at the double-ended driving range and putting green before your round.
Dress code
Collared shirts with sleeves are required for men, with Bermuda-type shorts or slacks. Women may wear sleeveless collared shirts, and shirts without collars must have sleeves. Denim, jeans, sweatpants, cut-offs, gym shorts, tank tops, T-shirts and halter tops are not permitted, and soft spikes only.
Practice facilities
The Learning Center has a double-ended driving range, a short-game area, a large putting green and two practice holes. A Callaway Golf Performance Center is on site.
Rentals & pro shop
The clubhouse has a pro shop, and rental clubs are available.
Food & drink
The Grille Room in the clubhouse serves sandwiches and snacks to go, as well as cocktails and meals.

Neshanic Valley is open to the public. Proper golf attire and soft spikes are required, and spectators are not permitted.
