Big Cypress Golf & Country Club hole by hole
Par 3Par 4Par 5
Hole 1
295
yds ·White
Less tight than it looks off the tee. The green tilts sharply from back to front, so keep approach shots below the hole.
Hole 2
344
yds ·White
Favor the right side off the tee to stay away from water down the left. The green is about 45 yards deep, so check the yardage to the pin carefully.
Hole 3
402
yds ·White
A short par 5 where cutting the corner is risky. Play to the right of the billboard; short and right of the green is the safest miss.
Hole 4
317
yds ·White
The tee shot is the key, with a stream crossing the fairway to manage. The large green forgives a longer approach.
Hole 5
111
yds ·White
A short par 3 with three bunkers guarding the front of the green. Long is the bad miss here.
Hole 6
448
yds ·White
A par 5 that can play very short if you cut the corner. A long bunker designed by Ron Garl protects the right side of the green.
Hole 7
281
yds ·White
A long bunker runs down the right side. Aim left, using the large oak as a guide, and avoid going long.
Hole 8
151
yds ·White
A par 3 with water and out-of-bounds on both sides. Aim for the middle of the large green, which slopes severely from back to front.
Hole 9
340
yds ·White
Plays slightly uphill toward the clubhouse. There are no bunkers, so a missed green often leaves an easy up-and-down.
Hole 10
307
yds ·White
A mild dogleg right. Staying left off the tee is the safe play; don't fix your eyes on the trees near the green.
Hole 11
315
yds ·White
Plays as a warm-up for the 14th with smaller penalties. Avoid aggressive back-left pins since the green slopes that way.
Hole 12
487
yds ·White
A true three-shot hole. Getting past the second lake is the key, and playing right on the second shot helps avoid the water.
Hole 13
163
yds ·White
One of the longest par 3s you will play. A large bunker guards the left, and mounds on the right can keep a miss near the green.
Hole 14
344
yds ·White
One of the toughest holes on the card. Play with confidence and stay right off the tee.
Hole 15
126
yds ·White
A par 3 with a renovated bulkhead along the green, which slopes toward the water. Aim for the center.
Hole 16
448
yds ·White
A good birdie chance for longer hitters. Keep the tee shot right, and lay up short and right of the green if you don't go for it.
Hole 17
369
yds ·White
There is no layup area, so take enough club to carry the water guarding the green.
Hole 18
334
yds ·White
The club's own tour calls this the signature hole. Staying right off the tee is the recommended line.
