The Championship Course at Colony West Golf Club in Tamarac was designed by Devlin and von Hagge and opened in 1971 as the home of the Jackie Gleason Inverrary Classic, later the Cognizant Classic. It plays to par 71 and 7,161 yards from the back tees (75.1 rating, 141 slope on the card), with narrow fairways, water, bunkers and small, fast greens. The club is municipally owned by the City of Tamarac. Its best-known hole is the par-4 12th, a cypress-lined tee shot to an island green.
