Highlands Reserve is an 18-hole public championship course in Davenport, Florida, set on the edge of the Green Swamp Ridge sand shelf with elevations spanning 120 feet. The layout mixes pine tree-lined fairways, open spacious fairways and natural waste areas, with large, undulating Diamond Zoysia greens. Tournament yardage is 6,647 yards, with three sub-400-yard par 4s to start and back-to-back par 5s at 17 and 18.

Before you go

Everything to know on arrival

Know before you go

  • Arrive at least 15 minutes before your tee time
  • Cancel or modify at least 24 hours ahead or your card will be charged
  • No denim, tee shirts, tank tops, sweatpants or open-toe shoes
  • Each player must bring their own set of clubs, or rent in the Pro Shop
  • No personal coolers or outside alcoholic beverages anywhere on the property

Arrival & check-in

Golfers are advised to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their tee time, as the course strives to stay on time all day.

Dress code

Accepted attire must be approved by the PGA, LPGA and USGA. Golf shoes or trainers are acceptable. Denim, jeans, cut-offs, street shoes, open-toe shoes, tee shirts, tank tops, "workout or sport" shorts and sweatpants are not permitted.

Carts & walking

Rates include one half of a cart. A valid driver's license is required to operate a golf cart and no one under 16 may drive one. No more than two riders may occupy a cart, carts must stay on golf course property and may not enter homeowners' private property, and the person who signs for the cart is responsible for any damage. From January 1 to March 31 extra carts are not available, all players are doubled up and no riders are allowed.

Practice facilities

The practice facility includes a driving range with several target greens, a practice bunker and chipping area, and a large putting green. Buckets of balls and range passes are available.

Rentals & pro shop

All players must have their own set of clubs; rental clubs are available in the Pro Shop and must be secured with a credit card. The Pro Shop also carries logo merchandise.

Food & drink

The Snack Bar serves sandwiches, hot dogs, drinks and beer. All food and beverage must be purchased from the club. Toptracer is open and The Reserve Bar is scheduled to open.

Pace of play

The expected pace of play is 4 hours for 18 holes, and the course aims to keep pace under 4 hours. Hole-by-hole pace expectations are printed on the scorecard, and rangers and starters help enforce the policy. Fivesomes are not permitted at any time.

Policies

All reservations, online or by phone, require a valid credit card to hold the time; cards are charged if the reservation is canceled or modified within 24 hours of the tee time, or if players do not show. If a group books for four and fewer arrive, the full booking is charged. Reservations can be made up to 120 days in advance and may be canceled or modified by calling (863) 420-1724, 24 hours a day. The course reserves the right to pair twosomes and singles and to move a tee time one time forward or back.
