Terms of Service

maps.golf provides embeddable, interactive maps of golf courses, built hole by hole from satellite imagery, OpenStreetMap course data, and course scorecards, and a dashboard for managing branding, tees, and other course content. maps.golf is an early-stage, actively evolving product — features, providers, and pricing may change as we improve the Service.

You need an account to access the dashboard. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Let us know right away at eric@maps.golf if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

Current plans, one-time setup fees, monthly fees, included map loads, and overage rates are described on our Pricing page and confirmed at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe, subject to Stripe's own terms.

• If your course needs mapping, a one-time setup fee covers mapping it (or completing an existing partial map) and getting your embed live, and is due at signup. A course already mapped when you sign up has no setup fee.
• Monthly subscription fees are billed in advance and renew automatically until cancelled.
• Usage beyond your plan's included map loads is billed as overage at the rate shown on the Pricing page.
• We may change our fees going forward; we'll give you reasonable notice before a change takes effect on your account.

You may cancel your monthly subscription at any time from the dashboard billing portal or by emailing us; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and we don't prorate or refund the unused portion of a billing period except where required by law.

The one-time setup fee is non-refundable once work on your course's map has begun, since it covers labor already performed.

When your subscription ends, your embedded map and QR code stop working, and the course map data is not transferred to you (see section 7).

Subject to these Terms and your account being in good standing, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to embed the map widget for your own course or facility on the website domain(s) registered to your account.

You agree not to:

• Embed or display the widget on a domain not registered to your account, or share your embed token/URL for use elsewhere
• Scrape, extract, or redistribute the underlying map geometry, imagery, or data outside of the embedded widget
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service
• Remove or obscure maps.golf attribution unless your plan specifically includes white-label branding
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law, or to interfere with the Service's operation

Maps, yardages, hazard positions, and hole geometry are drawn from satellite imagery, community-mapped OpenStreetMap data, and published scorecards, and may contain errors or omissions. They are provided for preview, marketing, planning, and general informational purposes only. They are not a substitute for a certified rangefinder, GPS device, or official course rules, and should not be relied on for on-course play, scoring, or real-time navigation. We don't guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any map data.

Your subscription pays for a service: an interactive 3D map of your course, hosting, updates, and the dashboard tools to manage pins, tees, sponsors, QR access, and analytics. It is not a purchase or license of map data.

• Your content stays yours. You retain ownership of any logos, brand colors, photos, hole descriptions, sponsor assets, or other content you upload to your dashboard, and you grant us a license to use them solely to operate your embedded map.
• The course map is part of the Service. The course map data we prepare for your course is made available to you only through the embedded widget and the Service. It isn't sold, transferred, or licensed to you separately, including as files or exports, and it is not provided after your subscription ends.
• OpenStreetMap data stays open. Some course geometry comes from OpenStreetMap, © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License (ODbL). Nothing in these Terms limits anyone's rights to OpenStreetMap data under that license, and maps using it carry its attribution.
• Your course's layout is your own. Nothing in these Terms restricts your course from having its physical layout mapped, measured, or digitized by anyone else.
• The software is ours. maps.golf owns the Service's software, design, and underlying technology.

The Service relies on third-party platforms, including Mapbox and Google Maps Platform for map imagery and terrain, OpenStreetMap for course data, and Stripe and Clerk for billing and authentication. Your use of the Service may also be subject to those providers' own terms of service.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, fail to pay applicable fees, or if we discontinue the Service. You may stop using the Service and cancel your account at any time as described above.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON'T WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT MAP DATA WILL BE ACCURATE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MAPS.GOLF, LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.

You agree to indemnify and hold maps.golf harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the “Last updated” date above. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
