Terms of Service

maps.golf provides embeddable, interactive maps of golf courses, built from digitized satellite imagery, and a dashboard for managing branding, tees, and other course content. maps.golf is an early-stage, actively evolving product — features, providers, and pricing may change as we improve the Service.

You need an account to access the dashboard. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Let us know right away at eric@maps.golf if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

Current plans, one-time setup fees, monthly fees, included map loads, and overage rates are described on our Pricing page and confirmed at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe, subject to Stripe's own terms.

• The one-time setup fee covers digitizing your course and getting your embed live, and is due at signup.
• Monthly subscription fees are billed in advance and renew automatically until cancelled.
• Usage beyond your plan's included map loads is billed as overage at the rate shown on the Pricing page.
• We may change our fees going forward; we'll give you reasonable notice before a change takes effect on your account.

You may cancel your monthly subscription at any time from the dashboard billing portal or by emailing us; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and we don't prorate or refund the unused portion of a billing period except where required by law.

The one-time setup fee is non-refundable once course digitizing work has begun, since it covers labor already performed.

Subject to these Terms and your account being in good standing, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to embed the map widget for your own course or facility on the website domain(s) registered to your account.

You agree not to:

• Embed or display the widget on a domain not registered to your account, or share your embed token/URL for use elsewhere
• Scrape, extract, or redistribute the underlying map geometry, imagery, or data outside of the embedded widget
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service
• Remove or obscure maps.golf attribution unless your plan specifically includes white-label branding
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law, or to interfere with the Service's operation

Maps, yardages, hazard positions, and hole geometry are manually digitized from satellite imagery and are provided for preview, marketing, planning, and general informational purposes only. They are not a substitute for a certified rangefinder, GPS device, or official course rules, and should not be relied on for on-course play, scoring, or real-time navigation. We don't guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any map data.

maps.golf and its licensors own all right, title, and interest in the Service, including the software, digitized course geometry, and underlying technology. You retain ownership of any logos, brand colors, or content you upload to your dashboard, and you grant us a license to use them solely to operate your embedded map.

The Service relies on third-party platforms, including Mapbox and Google Maps Platform for map imagery and terrain, and Stripe and Clerk for billing and authentication. Your use of the Service may also be subject to those providers' own terms of service.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, fail to pay applicable fees, or if we discontinue the Service. You may stop using the Service and cancel your account at any time as described above.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON'T WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT MAP DATA WILL BE ACCURATE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MAPS.GOLF, LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.

You agree to indemnify and hold maps.golf harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the “Last updated” date above. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
