Greystone Golf Club hole by hole
Par 3Par 4Par 5
Hole 1
363
yds ·Forward
Favor the right-center of the fairway to stay clear of the fairway bunker on the left. The green is elevated, so the approach may need an extra club.
Hole 2
252
yds ·Forward
A downhill par 3 to a very deep green. It plays shorter than the yardage because of the drop.
Hole 3
438
yds ·Forward
Favor the left side of the fairway off the tee for the best angle into the green.
Hole 4
144
yds ·Forward
A double-dogleg par 5. The tee shot must clear the wetlands, and the second shot should favor the left side for the best approach.
Hole 5
327
yds ·Forward
A position hole: the tee shot should favor the right side of the fairway for the best approach to the green.
Hole 6
378
yds ·Forward
An uphill par 3 over wetlands, so take an extra club. Watch for the upper hole location on this green.
Hole 7
161
yds ·Forward
A dogleg right that plays downhill. Favor the left side off the tee; from the grey tees, long hitters can carry the trees for a short approach.
Hole 8
472
yds ·Forward
A par 5 with a straight tee shot that should favor the left side. The uphill approach goes to a green guarded by bunkers left and front, so take one more club.
Hole 9
167
yds ·Forward
A downhill par 4 that offers a good birdie chance.
Hole 10
Another short birdie chance, and the start of the closing stretch the club bills as the best finish in Michigan golf.
Hole 11
A par 5 played from an elevated tee. The second shot should favor the left side to avoid the water hazard.
Hole 12
A par 3 with a slight uphill tee shot that may need one more club. Bunkers protect the green.
Hole 13
Played from an elevated tee with wide views, and the tee shot needs to favor the left side. The approach is to a big green guarded by water on the right and bunkers on the left.
Hole 14
A straight hole with water on both sides of the fairway. The approach is to a deep green guarded by water on the left and bunkers on the right.
Hole 15
The longest hole on the course, playing slightly uphill. Trees guard the fairway from about 200 yards out.
Hole 16
The first of the quarry holes: an island-style par 3 that plays downhill over water.
Hole 17
A wrap-around par 4 with a terraced fairway that slopes right, so favor the left side off the tee. The approach is to an uphill green and needs one more club.
Hole 18
The finishing hole, played to a ledged fairway. The approach is downhill to a green protected by water, and long is better than short.
