Kapalua – Plantation Course hole by hole
Par 3Par 4Par 5
Hole 1
433
yds ·Regular
A downhill par 4 from the tournament tees. One local guide suggests a drive of 220 to 240 yards to catch the hill and keep it on the line of the marker.
Hole 2
199
yds ·Regular
A par 3 where the wind usually blows left to right. The bunkers are best avoided.
Hole 3
363
yds ·Regular
A shorter par 4. Favor the left side of the fairway.
Hole 4
310
yds ·Regular
A short par 4 that tightens near the green, so a 200 to 240 yard shot is enough off the tee.
Hole 5
484
yds ·Regular
A par 5 with a fairway that slopes left to right. Aim at the arrow for the best position for the next shot. Tee shots up the left side are the safer play around the cape-style jungle.
Hole 6
375
yds ·Regular
A par 4 where a good line off the tee is the tallest pine tree in the distance.
Hole 7
491
yds ·Regular
A par 4 with rough starting about 340 yards out on the main line, which can leave a long approach. The ball tends to roll toward the right.
Hole 8
186
yds ·Regular
A par 3 where the wind usually blows right to left. In light wind expect roughly 170 to 185 yards from the back.
Hole 9
492
yds ·Regular
A par 5 where playing left of center off the tee sets up the next shot.
Hole 10
308
yds ·Regular
A par 4 whose fairway slopes sharply right to left. Hit toward the arrow to be rewarded.
Hole 11
161
yds ·Regular
The last par 3 on the course, playing toward Lanai. The wind usually blows right to left and a shot of 150 to 160 yards is typical. Miss short rather than long.
Hole 12
366
yds ·Regular
A par 4 where aiming at the arrow gets you close to the green. Watch for a bunker hidden from the fairway.
Hole 13
347
yds ·Regular
A par 4 where the suggested line off the tee is the right corner of the bunker.
Hole 14
271
yds ·Regular
A short par 4. A drive of about 250 yards to the right edge of the bunker leaves roughly 100 yards to the course's smallest green.
Hole 15
500
yds ·Regular
A three-shot par 5. Hit down the middle and do not try to cut the corner.
Hole 16
354
yds ·Regular
A par 4 where the hill kicks a drive aimed at the marker into a landing area with a good angle to the green. A fairway bunker lurks if the line is missed.
Hole 17
462
yds ·Regular
A par 4 on the card that plays downwind. Around 300 yards brings long hitters to the end of the fairway on the main line, so be careful.
Hole 18
599
yds ·Regular
A par 5 of 677 yards from the tour tees, the longest hole on the PGA Tour. Aim at the right chimney of the clubhouse for the most roll on the drive; the fairway slope helps a long drive.
