Arrival & check-in
Every player must register with the pro shop before beginning play. The golf shop is where golfers check in for golf, practice sessions, lessons and program registration.
Dress code
Appropriate golf attire is recommended: a collared golf shirt, slacks or Bermuda shorts, and golf shoes or tennis shoes. T-shirts and blue jeans are allowed. Tank tops are prohibited, and caps should be worn with the bill forward.
Carts & walking
Golf cars are limited to one per every two players and two per group. Players must be 18 or older with a valid driver's license to lease a golf car, and 16 or older with a valid driver's license to drive one. A golf cart release form must be signed before leasing a golf car.
Practice facilities
The practice facilities include a full driving range and a short game area with its own all-grass teeing area and a greenside practice bunker. The indoor teaching and practice facility, The Workshop, has two Trackman simulator bays with video equipment and TV monitors, and is available for lessons and hourly room rentals.
Rentals & pro shop
The golf shop carries gloves, hats, golf balls and tees, with a variety of brands and price points.
Food & drink
State law requires that all alcoholic beverages be purchased from Meridian Sun Golf Club. The facility also has a banquet room and a patio.
Pace of play
Players must maintain their position on the course directly behind the group in front of them. Proper pace of play is 2 hours and 10 minutes for nine holes and 4 hours and 30 minutes for 18 holes; groups unable to play at that speed should allow faster players to pass. Players who stop at the turn for a meal or for longer than 10 minutes forfeit their position and continue when there is a break in play.
Policies
All players shall play only one ball unless specified by the USGA Rules of Golf, and all holes must be played in numerical order, with jumping holes prohibited. No group may have more than four players without permission from the pro shop. Every player must have a set of golf clubs and a bag; sharing clubs is prohibited. Any player under the age of 11 must be accompanied by an adult.
