Plan your round at Moose Ridge Golf Course

The tee shot should be played between the bunkers near the 100-yard marker. On the approach, missing right leaves no recovery, while there is room behind the green.

The left side of the fairway is the target, with room left and none right. An extra half club is suggested into the two-tiered green, and short is a better miss than long.

The hole calls for a long, straight drive. The approach plays slightly uphill to a very large, undulating green, so an extra half club is suggested.

Favor the left side of the fairway. A lay-up in front of the right-hand bunker leaves roughly 150 yards to the center of the green, and the approach bails out right rather than long. The Detroit Free Press describes it as a par five measuring 630 yards.

A more generous fairway follows the previous stretch. The approach plays over a small valley to an undulating green, and long is to be avoided.

The first par 3. The yardage is deceptive and the green is difficult to read and putt; long is trouble.

Going for it off the tee carries high risk. The safer play is a tee shot to the bottom of the hill in front of the large bunker, leaving a second shot into a two-tiered green.

A shorter, tricky hole. The suggested tee shot stops in front of the bunker, leaving an approach over the hill to a long green where long leaves trouble. Long hitters can try the fairway left of the bunkers and hill for a better angle.

A par 3 where shots hitting the hill right of the green usually bounce onto the putting surface. The bailout is past the green.

A shorter par 4 made tricky around the green. A 200-yard tee shot in the fairway sets up a short iron and a birdie chance.

A par 4 requiring a straight drive. The green slopes from front to back and can produce tricky pin placements; over the green is trouble.

A par 3 with a very large green sloping slightly back to front. The iron shot must carry the hazard, and a long putt is likely if the ball finishes opposite the pin.

The hole plays harder than it looks. Favor the left side of the fairway by aiming at the big tree, with a hazard running down the right. The approach is elevated to a two-tiered green where long or right is wrong.

A long but playable par 5. A good drive into the generous fairway sets up a shot over the valley and hazard in front of the large bunker splitting the fairway, leaving a short iron to a large green.

A tee shot over a lake favoring the right side of the fairway gives the best look at the green. Another lake protects the right side of the green and long, and the green itself is demanding.

A scenic hole that plays downhill, so it plays a little shorter than the yardage.

The hole doglegs left. The suggested line is over the right edge of the bunker on the left side of the fairway, setting up the approach; do not miss long.

A long par 5. Aim left of the tree off the tee without running through the fairway, then lay up down the left side, as the green is heavily tilted from left to right and the right side should be avoided.
