Paako Ridge is a public, Ken Dye-designed 27-hole course at about 6,500 feet on the east side of the Sandia Mountains, roughly 25 minutes from Albuquerque. The original 18 opened in 2000 and a third nine followed in 2006. The standard layout combines the first two nines (holes 1 to 18) as a par 72 of 7,562 yards from the Black tees (76.0 rating, 145 slope); the third nine (holes 19 to 27) is played in rotation with them. It is ranked among Golf Digest's best public courses in America and as the top course in New Mexico.

Dress code
Collared, sleeved shirts are required for men, with slacks or Bermuda shorts. Women may wear dresses, skirts, mid-length shorts, pants and blouses. T-shirts, tank and halter tops, jeans, denim, sweatpants, cut-offs and athletic or short shorts are not allowed. Soft-spike golf shoes are required; tennis or field shoes only with pro shop approval. The dress code also applies on the practice facilities.

The green fee includes a Club Car Precedent cart with Visage GPS. The scorecard notes that all par 3s are cart-path only.

Policies
Tee times within 30 days book on the online tee sheet; times further out are booked by phone with the staff. A virtual waitlist alerts golfers when tee times open. The club is cashless and accepts major credit and debit cards. Same-day replays depend on availability and are arranged with the pro shop on the day. Holes 19 to 27 open after 10:30 a.m. Wednesday through Sunday. The 27 holes are three nines, and nine-hole combinations are set by the club, so check which pairing you are playing.
