Palmetto-Pine Country Club hole by hole
Par 3Par 4Par 5
Hole 1
340
yds ·Silver
Hug the left side of the fairway off the tee for the best approach, then play to the middle of the green for a good look at birdie.
Hole 2
319
yds ·Silver
A demanding tee shot that needs to find the right side of the fairway for a clear approach. Stay out of the left greenside bunker, since the green slopes away from it. Par is a good score.
Hole 3
150
yds ·Silver
Water sits left of the green. The preferred miss is short right, which leaves the most green to work with on the pitch.
Hole 4
341
yds ·Silver
Trouble on both sides of the fairway means a straight tee ball is needed. Keep the approach below the hole for a birdie chance.
Hole 5
465
yds ·Silver
Water and bunkers come into play off the tee. Long hitters can reach in two, but most players treat it as a three-shot par 5. The best birdie chance comes with a middle-left pin.
Hole 6
132
yds ·Silver
The hole plays longer than it looks, so play the full yardage. The green is receptive enough to attack pins.
Hole 7
306
yds ·Silver
A long, straight tee shot is needed. Bunkers guard the front left and front right of the green, so par is an excellent score.
Hole 8
322
yds ·Silver
Place the tee shot between the bunker and the water that runs down the left side of the fairway. That leaves a good approach and a birdie look.
Hole 9
325
yds ·Silver
Water on both sides of the fairway makes the tee shot the key. The green is narrow and needs an accurate approach to hold, so par is a very good score.
Hole 10
325
yds ·Silver
Aim just left of the fairway bunker off the tee for a clear approach. The green is surrounded by bunkers, so it calls for a high, soft shot.
Hole 11
489
yds ·Silver
Play to the right of the large bunker off the tee. A good layup and approach set up a birdie chance.
Hole 12
135
yds ·Silver
Bunkers and trouble surround the green, so accuracy and distance control matter. Par is an excellent score.
Hole 13
301
yds ·Silver
The left side of the fairway gives the best approach. Keep the ball below the hole for a birdie chance.
Hole 14
481
yds ·Silver
Not long for a par 5, but demanding from the tee through the layup and approach. A birdie is there from good position, and par is a fine result from trouble.
Hole 15
149
yds ·Silver
Any tee shot on the green is a good one. If you miss, short is the best place to be for a par save.
Hole 16
348
yds ·Silver
The fairway moves slightly right, so the left-middle part of the fairway gives a clear approach. A front-middle pin is the best birdie chance, with the ball kept below the hole.
Hole 17
318
yds ·Silver
The tee shot has to find the right side of the fairway for a clear line to the green. The green slopes severely from back to front, so par is an excellent score.
Hole 18
437
yds ·Silver
A three-shot par 5 for most players. The layup must fit between the waste bunker right of the fairway and the water left. The best birdie chance is with a middle-left pin.
