Pinehurst No. 4

Plan your round at Pinehurst No. 4

Pinehurst No. 4 is a Gil Hanse redesign, completed in 2018, of a course that began as a Donald Ross layout in 1919. Hanse kept the routing largely intact but opened up sweeping views, replaced many small bunkers with large sandy waste areas of wiregrass and broom sedge, and rebuilt the greens with strong slopes and ridges. It plays through the Sandhills pines beside a five-acre lake. From the Orange tees it is a par 72 of 7,227 yards; the Blue tees play 6,961.
