The Rawls Course is the Tom Doak-designed home of the Texas Tech golf teams, opened in 2003 on a former cotton field on the High Plains of Lubbock. Doak shaped the land into wide fairways and boldly contoured greens meant to suit golfers of all levels, and wind is a constant factor. It plays to par 72 and 7,317 yards from the Black tees (75.3 rating, 139 slope), and it is open to the public.
