Hole by hole
Walk the course
Par 3Par 4Par 5
Hole 1
416
yds ·Yellow
A dogleg-left par 4 to open. A good drive still leaves close to 200 yards into a well-bunkered green only 22 yards deep.
Hole 2
200
yds ·Yellow
A long par 3. Favoring the right side lets the slope feed the ball onto the green; a miss left leaves a tough up-and-down, and the green tilts right to left.
Hole 3
371
yds ·Yellow
Water runs down the left of the fairway with thick rough right. The green is guarded by water left and bunkers left, right and long.
Hole 4
461
yds ·Yellow
An uphill par 5 with a creek and out of bounds along the right; reachable in two for long hitters. Lay-ups should avoid the fairway bunker left. The elevated green is shallow on the left and falls away sharply to the right.
Hole 5
350
yds ·Yellow
A shorter par 4 with bunkers both sides of the landing area, so less than driver is the usual play. The bunkered green has a camel-back ridge through the middle.
Hole 6
493
yds ·Yellow
One of the course's signature holes: a par 5 that rewards conservative targets — aim the drive at the fairway bunkers and the second toward the bunker on the right. The green is deep, so check the yardage on the third.
Hole 7
159
yds ·Yellow
A par 3 with bunkers short, left and long. The multi-tiered green is quick putting from back to front.
Hole 8
371
yds ·Yellow
A dogleg-right par 4 that needs a long, accurate drive past the corner and the bunker through the fairway. The approach crosses a pond to a deep green bunkered behind and right, with a side slope.
Hole 9
410
yds ·Yellow
A long par 4 — don't try to carry the bunker on the left. The approach must avoid bunkers short left, right and long left.
Hole 10
360
yds ·Yellow
A dogleg-right par 4 with bunkers right and through the fairway. The second plays slightly uphill to a back-to-front green fronted by two deep bunkers; putts from above the hole are among the quickest on the course.
Hole 11
396
yds ·Yellow
A par 4 bending left around a lake, with bunkers right of the landing area. The green has water left and bunkers short and right — check the wind, as short ends any chance of par.
Hole 12
536
yds ·Yellow
A par 5 where only the longest drivers carry the right fairway bunker. Lay-ups should avoid bunkers on both sides; the green makes for a tricky two-putt if the approach is too bold or too timid.
Hole 13
335
yds ·Yellow
A short par 4 that is the course's number 1 handicap hole. The fairway is a must: the green has water short and right and bunkers left, and putts break toward the water.
Hole 14
161
yds ·Yellow
A par 3 with bunkers left and long; the center of the green is the target. The green can be quick putting from the back.
Hole 15
392
yds ·Yellow
A dogleg-right par 4 with magnolia trees right and through the fairway. The green has large bunkers in front, one long, and a closely mown area long right.
Hole 16
457
yds ·Yellow
A reachable par 5 for long hitters. Bunker and trees right off the tee, out of bounds left. Water fronts the green, with bunkers short, right and behind.
Hole 17
166
yds ·Yellow
A long par 3 over water that wraps the front and right of the green, with the beach bunker short and bunkers left and long left.
Hole 18
403
yds ·Yellow
The 72nd hole of the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Out of bounds runs the entire left side and thick rough the right; left of center off the tee is ideal. A pond guards the front of the green, with bunkers left and long.
