Plan your round at Bruce Hills Golf Course

A short par 4 with a bunker on the front left of the green; the suggested play is a tee shot of about 250 yards leaving a short chip to an undulating green.

Ponds sit on both sides of the fairway and extend to the center, so the suggested play is to lay up to about 150 yards out.

A small green for a par 3; missing short is preferable to missing anywhere else around the green.

A risk/reward hole. A carry of 250 yards clears the pond that covers most of the hole from 130 to 100 yards in; shorter hitters should lay up with a 180-yard club.

A dogleg left that can be shortened with a high cut, leaving a wedge in; laying up about 230 yards also leaves a good look.

A short par 3 where long and left should be avoided.

The longest hole on the course, listed in the pro shop tips at 575 yards, with trouble on both sides from the tee; most players will treat it as a three-shot hole.

Out of bounds left, so the right side of the fairway is the safer play. The second shot must carry a pond to one of the largest greens on the course, where staying below the hole is advised.

Another risk/reward hole; long hitters playing a cut can leave a wedge in, while others hug the trees on the right away from out of bounds left. It is described as the toughest green on the course, and being above the hole should be avoided.

Listed in the pro shop tips at 245 yards, the shortest par 4 on the course, with greens covering both front edges; hitting it long gives a good birdie chance.

A challenging par 3 with a bunker right and out of bounds long and left, plus some undulation in the green.

Listed in the pro shop tips at 440 yards, an easier par 5 if the tee shot gets far enough to clear the 90-degree dogleg left. The green falls off on both sides and long leaves deep rough.

A par 3 tougher than it looks, with all edges of the green falling away and plenty of break once on the putting surface.

Described as one of the toughest holes in Macomb County, with out of bounds left and a pond right that the fairway slopes toward. The green slopes severely from back to front and long is trouble.

A shorter hole with a hazard left; playing to the right side of the fairway leaves a wedge in.

A driver hole with no trouble off the tee; avoid going long with the second shot.

Looks straightforward from the tee, but the green does not offer a straight putt.

Listed in the pro shop tips at 470 yards, with a hazard left off the tee and a creek crossing the hole twice. The second shot is easier from the left side of the fairway to an open green; long leaves trees and a green running away.
