Robert Trent Jones Sr. designed it, it opened to the public in 1957, and Rees Jones rebuilt the tee and green complexes in a 1993-94 restoration. From the Blue Devil tees it plays 7,154 yards. The practice facility is open seven days a week and has a driving range. It closes bi-weekly on Tuesday afternoons at 3:30 PM and reopens Wednesday at noon, and hours can change with the weather. Call the golf shop (ext. 1) for daily range updates.
Policies
The course is open to the public for daily play seven days a week, but it is closed on Wednesday mornings until 12:00 PM for maintenance. Tee times can be booked online or by calling the golf shop. Stay-and-play packages are offered with the Washington Duke Inn.
