Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course
Plan your round at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course
Edgewood Tahoe is a George Fazio design that opened in 1968 on the Nevada shore of Lake Tahoe, at about 6,200 feet. It is a par 72 of 7,529 yards from the Gold tees (75.5 rating, 145 slope), with pine-lined fairways, fast bunkered greens and Lake Tahoe views on many holes. It hosted the 1980 U.S. Public Links and 1985 U.S. Senior Open and is home to the American Century Championship. This guide covers the main 18-hole course, not the resort's par-3 course.

Par 3Par 4Par 5
Hole 1
370
yds ·White
A generous fairway on this opening par 4. The ideal drive finishes at the left edge of the fairway bunker, and long hitters should watch the water that comes into play down the left. A mid-iron remains to a green guarded by bunkers, with the lake to the left.
Hole 2
362
yds ·White
The fairway slopes right to left, so a drive in the fairway usually leaves a short iron. A meandering creek runs up the left side and is the main trouble, which makes this one of the better birdie chances.
Hole 3
532
yds ·White
The longest hole on the course is a par 5 that bends like a boomerang to an elevated green tucked among trees. It is the number 1 handicap hole, so plan to play it as a three-shot hole.
Hole 4
488
yds ·White
A par 5 that plays gradually uphill through a tight, tree-lined tee shot corridor. The safe second is a layup toward the left fairway bunker; longer hitters can go for it, but a deep greenside bunker and a creek on the right punish a miss.
Hole 5
152
yds ·White
A par 3 that needs a well-struck long iron to carry a creek and ravine short of the green. The green slopes generally back to front, so landing short of the flag leaves a manageable uphill putt.
Hole 6
368
yds ·White
A downhill par 4 that plays shorter than its yardage. The green is long and narrow, almost 50 yards deep, sloping left to right with water on the right and bunkers on the left.
Hole 7
149
yds ·White

Hole 8
382
yds ·White
Decide off the tee: a driver kept left of the tall pine in the fairway leaves the best angle. The green is almost 40 yards deep and a slope off the right greenside bunker affects most putts.
Hole 9
380
yds ·White
This hole gives the first real taste of Lake Tahoe on the round, with the shoreline close to play on the way in.
Hole 10
383
yds ·White

Hole 11
328
yds ·White
No notes for this hole yet.
Hole 12
167
yds ·White
A long par 3 that requires a carry over bunkers to the green.
Hole 13
387
yds ·White
No notes for this hole yet.
Hole 14
388
yds ·White
A driver hole with the tee shot framed by the lake and snow-capped mountains. It is the number 2 handicap hole on the card.
Hole 15
341
yds ·White
A blind drive through a narrow chute makes the tee shot the test on this par 4.
Hole 16
533
yds ·White
Starts the finishing stretch with a par 5 where a pine stands in the middle of the fairway. Laying up short of the fairway bunkers leaves a wedge in, to a well-bunkered green with Lake Tahoe and Mt. Tallac behind it.
Hole 17
140
yds ·White
A par 3 that plays along the lake shore, with the water in play.
Hole 18
489
yds ·White
A par 5 finish with the lake in play, and a risk-reward decision on whether to go for the green in two.
