Plan your round at Fresh Pond Golf Course

A gentle opener. Favor the left side near the fairway bunker for a better angle into a well-protected green with bunkers on the right.

Short but demanding. Placement of the tee shot on the hill matters, since going too far finds fescue-covered mounds. A good drive leaves a short approach to an elevated green.

A tee shot over Fresh Pond Reservoir. Pin position sets the difficulty, so club selection is key.

A long par 4 where the landing area narrows at a cross bunker and a large tree on the right. The sloped green is protected short left and right, with room to bail out left.

Strategic tee shots and layups are rewarded. Playing close to the north pond improves the angle, and the cross bunker can come into play on a layup. The two-tier green is surrounded by mounding.

Harder than it looks. A tree left of the green can interfere with left pins, and the green slopes back to front, so stay below the hole.

Place the tee shot near the fairway bunkers. Trees near the green can block approaches from the left, and the green complex is one of the course's best, so club down.

The signature hole: a carry over Little Fresh Pond to a bunkered green that slopes sharply back to front. There is ample room beyond the water.

Accuracy matters, with penalty areas on both sides. Lay up to the middle left for the best approach, since trees protect the right, and play slightly short of the green because of fescue and mounding behind it.
