The Ridge is one of the three nines (Ridge, Meadow and Lake) of Neshanic Valley's 27-hole Championship Course in Neshanic Station, owned by the Somerset County Park Commission and designed by Hurdzan/Fry Golf Course Design. The Ridge nine opened in 2005 and plays to par 36; it is paired with the Meadow or Lake nine for an 18-hole round. Golfweek ranks the facility among the Top 50 Municipal Courses in the U.S.

Know before you go
- Check the dress code before you go
- Bring a water bottle; a filtered water station is in the pro shop and there is no drinking water on the course
- Cancel at least 24 hours ahead
- Buy all food and drink at the course; coolers are not allowed
- Soft spikes only
Dress code
Men need collared shirts with sleeves and Bermuda-type shorts, slacks and footwear. Women need shirts with collars (sleeveless is fine) or sleeved shirts, plus Bermuda-type shorts, slacks, skirts and footwear. Denim, jeans, cut-offs, short shorts, gym shorts, tank tops, T-shirts, sleeveless-cut shirts, halter tops and undershirts are not permitted.
Practice facilities
The Learning Center has a double-ended driving range, a short-game area, a large putting green and two practice holes. It also houses the Callaway Golf Performance Center, with lessons, clinics and club fittings.
Food & drink
The Grille Room serves sandwiches and snacks to go, plus cocktails and meals. All food and beverage must be bought at the course; personal coolers are not allowed.
Pace of play
Rangers and pro shop staff can ask groups to keep up, and slow groups that don't respond may be asked to leave the course.
Policies
Championship Course play starts at 7:00am on weekdays and 6:00am on weekends and holidays. Cancellations are due 24 hours ahead. The course has a no-spectators policy, every player needs their own set of clubs (rentals are available), and soft spikes only.
