Tetherow Golf Club
Plan your round at Tetherow Golf Club
Tetherow Golf Club is a David McLay Kidd design that opened in 2008 at Tetherow Resort on the west side of Bend, Oregon. Kidd built it as a Scottish-style links on high-desert ground, with firm, fast fairways, large bunkers and wide greens, and the routing looks out to the Cascade peaks including Three Sisters and Broken Top. It plays to par 72 and 7,283 yards from the back tees (75.2 rating, 150 slope).

Hole 2
514
yds ·Tan
A split fairway divided by a grassy berm. Speed slots on either side give a chance to reach in two, and the right side shortens the hole but brings the bunkers into play. A good layup is about 75 yards short of the green, short of the last fairway bunkers.
Hole 3
146
yds ·Tan
A par 3 over a pond with a pot bunker in front and another behind. The green slopes down at the back, so a ball that carries too far can run into the rear bunker.

Hole 6
377
yds ·Tan
A risk-reward split fairway. Laying up right leaves a long, blind approach, while the bolder line up the left brings water into play but leaves a shorter shot with a better angle.

Hole 10
273
yds ·Tan
A short par 4 from an elevated tee with two bunkers in the fairway about 85 yards out. The higher right side lets you bound the ball through the front-right opening of the green, which has a bowl in front.
Hole 11
420
yds ·Tan
A long dogleg right with the fairway sloping toward trees at the bend. Drive well left to keep a clear angle, since cutting the corner needs a carry of more than 300 yards.

Hole 17

Known as The Quarry. The long, narrow green sits behind a big waste bunker, and the only safe miss is long, where a bank can feed the ball back on. That works mainly when the pin is at the back.
Hole 18
511
yds ·Tan
A par 5 with no bunkers, played from an elevated tee, so the hole is mostly about length. It is the longest hole on the course at 588 yards from the back tees.
