Glenview Champions is a 27-hole championship facility stretching over 7,100 yards, with three nines named Talley Ho, Fox Run and Stirrup Cup. The course features elevation changes, bunkering and scenic views, and six sets of tees. It was designed in consultation with senior PGA professionals Tommy Aaron, Hubert Green and John Mahaffey.

Know before you go

  • Observe The Villages' dress code
  • Each player must have their own set of clubs
  • No more than two people per cart
  • Buy range tokens before the golf shop closes, or use a pre-paid range card
  • Keep carts on the path on par 3s and around all tees and greens

Arrival & check-in

From Spanish Springs, take Avenida Central to Paige Place, then El Camino Real to Savannah Circle and Glenview Drive. From Lake Sumter, take Old Mill Run to Buena Vista, then Savannah Circle to Glenview Drive. The golf shop and restaurant are both in the Glenview clubhouse.

Dress code

Players are asked to observe The Villages' dress code.

Carts & walking

A maximum of two people per cart is allowed and each player must have their own clubs. Golf cars must remain on paths on par 3s and around all tees and greens, and the 90-degree rule applies at all times.

Practice facilities

The driving range at Glenview Champions is open Monday 8am to dusk, Tuesday through Saturday dawn to dusk, and Sunday dawn to 4pm, with mats used on Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday; range questions can be directed to 352-753-3345. Ball machine tokens are sold in the golf shops and are unavailable after the shops close, though a pre-paid E-Range Card is offered as an alternative. A practice putting green is available, where chip shots knee high or lower are permitted if they do not damage the green. Glenview Champions also has a practice bunker, which is at times reserved for instruction.

Rentals & pro shop

The fully stocked Glenview golf shop is in the clubhouse and can be reached at 352-753-3345.

Food & drink

The restaurant in the Glenview clubhouse overlooks the course and is open daily from 11am to 8:30pm, with the dinner menu starting at 4pm. It specializes in Black Angus burgers, hand-cut steaks and fresh seafood, and serves an à la carte brunch on Sundays from 9am to 2pm. Happy hour runs daily from 3pm to 7pm.

Pace of play

Expected time par is 4 hours and 15 minutes, and the scorecard lists a target elapsed time at each hole.
