Southern Dunes is an 18-hole Steve Smyers design in Haines City, just outside Orlando, built on a former citrus grove. The hillside layout stretches over 7,200 yards with roughly 100 feet of elevation change, large undulating greens, high-lipped bunkers and grass-covered dunes. Five sets of tees are offered, and the par-3 holes play downhill.

Know before you go
- ✓Register in the golf shop before play
- ✓Soft spikes only — metal spikes are not allowed
- ✓You must be 18 or older to rent a golf cart
- ✓Each player needs their own bag and set of clubs
- ✓No outside food or beverages; all must be purchased on site
Arrival & check-in
All players must register in the golf shop before play.
Dress code
Proper golf attire is required. T-shirts, tank tops and cut-offs are not allowed on the course. Metal spikes are not permitted and soft spikes are required year-round; soft spikes can be purchased in the golf shop.
Carts & walking
Players must be 18 or older to rent a golf cart.
Rentals & pro shop
All players must have their own bag and set of clubs while playing. Rental clubs are available in the golf shop.
Food & drink
Tavern on the Dunes, located in the 12,000 square foot clubhouse, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm daily and has a full service bar, appetizers, light snacks and entrees; the direct restaurant line is 863-421-1376. A beverage cart with a server patrols the course daily. Wi-Fi is available in the restaurant. All food and beverages must be purchased on site.
Policies
The maximum number of players in each group is four. Tee times can be booked within a 180-day booking window, with rates adjusted in real time based on demand and availability.
